ROLE: The role of the Business Analyst is to act as the subject-matter-expert in all areas of process creation, technical product understanding & systems, including determination of needs, design, development and creation of systems requirements and programs. They will work in conjunction with the product and delivery organizations to ensure sound sales, delivery, and support requirements are defined & executed for our new product offerings. Responsibilities: Creation and management of the Business Requirements and Functional /Non Functional Requirements including requirements management and planning; requirements elicitation; requirements analysis and documentation; requirements communication; solution assessment and validation. Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level and complex information into details and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs. Apply formal, best practice methodologies and notations in preparing requirements deliverables, including but not limited to: user stories, use cases models, feature requirements, activity diagrams, domain models, supplemental requirements, concept diagrams, business rules, data requirements and report needs. Serve as the conduit between the business operational units and the software development team. Actively participate in test planning and execution. Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs within vision of Business goals . Acts as an internal consultant providing recommendations and guidance in all areas of process development, training needs analysis, design, delivery, implementation and evaluation . Acts as the systems & technology expert within the organization; investigates, determines root cause and makes recommendations on best course of action; Recognizes broad implications of issues; Can identify the impact, connection and relationship to the strategic needs of the business Works independently and in partnership of Program/Project managers, with the various business users to define concepts; elicit and document requirements within aggressive time constraints. Can see the impact, connection, relationship of one issue and/or initiatives to other issues and/or initiatives outside one's own objectives Gathers relevant information systematically; considers a broad range of issues or factors; grasps complexities and perceives relationships among problems or issues; seeks input from others; uses accurate logic in analysis; identifies root causes; uses sound judgment in decision-making & problem solving Demonstrates attention to and conveys understanding of the comments and questions of others; listens well in groups; speaks clearly and concisely Job Qualification / Experience Minimum Education: Seven to ten years on requirements management for Communications / Technical industry Experience working on Product Delivery projects is required. Prior work experience as a Business Analyst for Quote to Cash model or similar experience as a Project Manager; Process Analyst or a System Analyst may be considered. Strong analytical and planning skills, self - directed, able to meet deadlines, problem solver, and detailed-oriented is a must. Strong team building skills, with ability to build quick and effective work rapport with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Experience in creation of Business and Functional Requirements Documents or Software Requirements Specifications including such artifacts as Agile Stories and/or Use Cases, Process Models and Context Diagrams. IIBA certification is strongly desired or equivalent professional certifications in either ITIL; Six Sigma (Green Belt) or PMP may be considered. Minimum education - Bachelor's Degree or similar in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
