Systems Engineer - RedHat OpenShift
Performs the analysis of existing infrastructure solutions and the definition, design, and development of new solution requirements. Analyzes, plans, installs, configures, tests and maintains systems and technical solutions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Designing system integration or refinement plans for customized solutions
Conducting and monitoring validation and testing procedures for systems.
Evaluating system performance and capacity in a large distributed infrastructure environment; defining backup and recovery plans.
Performing research and analysis on customer requirements and translating these into technical solutions for further development.
Must be willing to adjust schedule to perform maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field or equivalent years of experience is required. Equivalent years of experience are defined as 4 years of professional experience.
3 years - Experience in an Information Technology role required.
Applied knowledge of infrastructure technologies including servers, networking, storage, virtualization and the integration between these systems.
Systematic, fact based decision making and problem solving.
Strong inter-personal skills and ability to cultivate relationships with all internal/external stakeholders, promoting diversity of perspectives, ideas and cultures.
Exceptional work ethic, high sense of urgency, driven, self-motivated, highly accountable with strong initiative and passion.
Ability to clearly articulate ideas, problem/solution/business value descriptions that can be understood by a broad audience
Organization skills and ability to work on multiple projects and/or assignments simultaneously

Preferred skills below:
Proven experience in application containerization management with OpenShift
Experience administering and supporting RedHat OpenShift Container Platform ecosystem for the organization in both public cloud and on premise
Strong background in Linux administration, virtualization, networking, and security is desirable
RedHat certifications in Linux and OpenShift administration preferred
Solid troubleshooting skills and passion for problem solving and investigation
Experience working with infrastructure automation products such as Ansible
Experience in architecture, design, build, and operation of Red Hat OpenShift environment
