B3 Group Inc, a fast-growing Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) specializing in health IT and PMO support for the federal government, is looking for an experienced Product Owner Technical Lead to support an initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
As Product Owner, this roleis responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Development Team. Part of theproduct ownerresponsibilities is to have a vision of what he or she wishes to build and convey that vision to the scrum team. Broadly, theproduct owneris the voice of the businessor the client and they are accountable for ensuring that the agile software development team delivers the maximum possiblebusinessvalue.
A B3 Sr. Business Analyst will have experience in the analysis of business and information environments, activities, and events. They will have deep knowledge of data analysis, trend finding, patterns, and be able to identify risks and offer solutions for improving processes that will improve overall project performance. They will be able to recommend and implement improvements to the project and deliver substantial value to the B3 customers and team members. The Sr. Analyst will provide assistance as necessary to the Program Manager, may oversee a team of people, and provide coaching/mentoring to junior team members. A B3 Sr. Analyst will demonstrate pro-activeness, an eagerness to learn, good attitude, collaboration, more expertise of skill set area, developing management/mentoring of junior team members abilities.
Understanding of clinical workflows.
Clearly expressing Product Backlog items.
Ordering the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and missions.
Optimizing the value of the work the Development Team performs.
Ensuring that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work on next.
Create wireframes for all UI/UX related stories and ensure UI reflects the end users expressed intent.
Ensuring the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.
The Product Owner may do the above work or work with the Development Team to do it. However, the Product Owner remains accountable even when the development team is unavailable.
In order to be successful in this position, we expect you to have the following skills and experience:
Bachelors Degree required in Computer Science, Engineering or other Technical discipline, OR a minimum of 8 years equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Requires at least 5 years of experience in similar role, preferably with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Requires at least 5 years of experience with Agile methodology and Scrum approach as a Product Owner.
Must be able to obtain public trust clearance.
Experience leading a team strongly preferred.
Experience adapting to new technologies is a plus.
Prior HealthShare experience
Desired / Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs and/or other federal organizations.
Strongly prefer CSPO or PSPO certification.
