UniGroup's Technology and Innovation Team is looking for an infrastructure architect to join us! Our engineers build products nobody has seen before and solve business problems that no one has tried solving before on infrastructure and services that run as a utility. While Unigroup is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, we embrace a remote-first approach. This role does NOT require working on-site.
The Infrastructure Architect will lead efforts for the engineering of Unigroup systems, working closely with the business, Software Development, Product and support teams to deliver infrastructure services, provide guidance, and ensure quality products are delivered on time. Using knowledge and experience of technology and their application, the Architect will be responsible for guiding design, delivery and adoption of technical infrastructure services to support business goals and product roadmaps. The architect will address issues of access, security, scalability, supportability and migration through their architectural designs and lifecycle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Lead the detailed design of solution architectures for infrastructure and related services.
Develop infrastructure and related services that support our innovative products and solutions.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineers to deliver features and capabilities on time.
Solve complex incidents to ensure proper response and resolution to issues and errors.
Complete the implementation of infrastructure and related services from the ground up with minimal supervision
Create documentation and artifacts that describe infrastructure solutions and implementations.
Secure our customers and company information.
Be a thought leader while building consensus on the infrastructure vision and strategy.
Work with third-party vendors to develop solutions and/or integrate them into the company's products and services.
Proactively research new technologies as they become available.
Architect and design solutions to a greater scalability and optimization, considering both operational and cost efficiency.
Assist with the development and design of complex network and security solutions.
Support strategic approaches and maintain alignment of projects with enterprise strategic direction.
Education, License or Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience.
7-10 years of IT infrastructure/support experience, 1-3 years of team leadership experience

Interpersonal: Develops effective working relationships across UniGroup; directs team efforts by providing technical/process expertise and guidance.
Leadership/Change: Demonstrates leadership by encouraging integrity and ethical behavior; supports business goals, change initiatives, and development through coaching and mentoring.
Business: Understands how UniGroup business objectives relate to the business unit, and how own performance objectives align with business unit objectives
Communications: Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication and listening skills; possesses the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
Language: Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Technology: Proficient in using multiple software programs and web-based applications such as e-mail, Microsoft Office Suite products, internet browsers, etc.
